Flesh OR Faith?

Today, is going to be short. I'm not sure who else needs this "gentle" reminder, but I know I did. I'm not trying to make it difficult and a long post though, because it's a lot.
Recently- I told my flesh ENOUGH. After a discussion with my husband, and realizing my heart still needed work.
When I said "ENOUGH" is when God said, "NOW I can work."
Why does a battle with flesh even matter? I mean, we live in this world-Mise well live it right? Wrong. When I think of my flesh, I'm reminded how week I am. How realistic the comparison to sheep is.
I am offended when people don't talk to me. I'm neurodivergent and don't fit the molds of people. I battle with food. I battle with stay consistent with exercise and taking care of myself. I go to hard. I don't go hard enough. My thoughts spin and dance around as images in writing make their way through my head.
Do you sometimes feel like this?
The flesh leads in split directions. Emotions change. Anger subsides. The flesh continues to want and ache for what it can't have. The flesh complains, gossips, lashes out, etc. In our suffering, you are literally taming the flesh.
In Faith, we take flight. We bend our flesh to the Will of God, not our fleshly and fleeting wants/hopes/dreams. If you follow the flesh, you're not going to get very far BUT if you follow your faith and aim to tame your flesh God will make you fly, on HIS wings- in HIS perfect timing.

Where the flesh is greedy and can never be satisfied, we hold access to seek out HIS face and rejoice in the suffering of our flesh, knowing the outcome is for HIM to do work in us- for His glory NOT our own.
When was the last time you said NO or ENOUGH to your flesh, took up your cross and submitted to HIS WILL not your own? Today, I dare you to say ENOUGH to your flesh and pick up your cross. Embrace your suffering. Rejoice. Uplift. And take proactive steps for His Will on your life.
Get up and be more active.
Put down the sugary food.
Take proactive steps to pray into your anger and through it.
Stop gossiping.
Stop complaining.
Stop yelling.
Stop making excuses.
Stop neglecting time in His word.
Put down the toxic substances (alcohol, soda, smoking, drugs, etc)
Scrolling FB or social media for hours on end
Not cleaning
Cleaning obsessively
Whatever crutch/vice/etc you are using to satisfy your flesh in a world we all know is HARD.
INSTEAD...
Pray through it, over it, and into it. Above all... say ENOUGH. Why? So, you can fall INTO Faith and God can do His work!

This was a "one skillet" meal and a quick throw together last night, but SO good! Remember 1 to pray over and into your food and ingredients! I hope you enjoy! This will serve a family of 6-8 depending how hungry your family is and how much salad you like!
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground turkey or chicken
1 can of black beans
1 cup of salsa
1 bag or half a head of cauliflower chopped up
1 tsp of each; onion, garlic, chili, cumin, and parsley.
"Hearts desire" of salt
bag or two of buttered lettuce
bag of spinach
1 tbsp of butter/oil (I used coconut oil)
Directions:
Warm your skillet and add your butter/oil. Let it melt before adding your meat AND cauliflower. (They will cook perfectly together and finish at the same time or close to it.)
When those have cooked mostly, add your seasonings and salt.
Mix in your beans and salsa. Let simmer for about ten minutes.
Get out a bowl, load on your salad and then drizzle the "taco" mix on top. BOOM Taco "less" salad! High protein, delicious, super filling, and Kid approved! Addy got seconds; Nemo ended up getting thirds! lol I pray you have a blessed day!
